El pasado 26 de abril, se celebró los 50 años de las cooperativas de vivienda.
Durante el acto de celebración, se contó con la presencia en mesa de la Ministra de Vivienda Arq. Eneidade León, el Intendente de Montevideo Ing. Daniel Martinez, el Presidente de INACOOPGustavo Bernini, en representación de la UdelaR el Arq. Raúl Valles, el presidente de Fucvam Jorge Diaz y la presidenta del CCU Dr. Graciela Fernandez.
En la oratoria, se hizo referencia a la importancia del sistema cooperativo, sus cualidades tanto físicas, arquitectónicas, como sociales, su historia, lo particular de este sistema, el cual aún continua siendo una particularidad del Uruguay, tanto de innovación, como también una muestra de trabajo en conjunto tanto entre técnicos como grupos organizados.
Luego de las intervenciones, se hizo entrega de reconocimientos a varios compañeros y compañeras que han participado de esta historia de 50, colaborando, promoviendo, y fortaleciendo el cooperativismo de vivienda, y en particular un reconocimiento especial a las tres cooperativas Isla Mala de Florida, Cosvam de Salto y Éxodo de Artigas de Fray Bentos.
